Seating

The brief for Herman Miller's Pronta chair was straight-forward.  Design a chair that is lightweight, durable, affordable, comfortable...and make it stack dozens high.  Our approach was to design a chair that met those constraints and delivered the perfect balance between expressive and quiet, between crisp and organic.  Stacking chairs are a unique challenge in that they must look good in rows and groups but not so architechtual that they are void of character.  With only a few elements to work with, designing a stacking chair is a great exercise in distillation.
