Joe Van Faasen is a Michigan native and a lifelong design enthusiast.  His passion for art and design led him to Detroit’s College for Creative Studies where he graduated with a major in transportation design.

Joe began his career as a design consultant serving multiple industries.  His work would lead him to Whirlpool where he led design teams for KitchenAid and then Whirlpool's Global Cooking category.  In 2018 he joined Herman Miller (now MillerKnoll) as Product Design Director where he helped form and build the Global Design Studio.

Joe and his wife Emily have 3 children and live in Holland.  In his spare time, Joe loves to play tennis, chase trout with a fly rod, and oil paint.
